My message
Almost 30 years ago my mum suffered chronic renal failure and needed a kidney transplant to keep her alive. She was so lucky to find a match within her family and her brother, Lloyd, selflessly donated his kidney to her. Thankfully the operations were successful and both Uncle Lloyd and my mum are still going strong! It's the 30th anniversary of mum's transplant on 3rd September and I thought that running 13 miles to raise money would be a great way to celebrate!

The research carried out by charities like Kidney Research UK has lead to vast improvements in treatment and awareness so please, please give what you can to help!
